Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.IS ends.

Due to many personal reasons digital assistant J.A.R.V.I.S will not continue for the time being.(Although, i might continue it sometime in the next year).

This is a picture of the updated graphical user interface. It's a work in progress though.

Remake of Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S

After much of thought, I ended up that Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S needs a remake to some things(account creation, gui). 
Ill remake those things and i may switch to wpf. 
Stay tuned for more news.

In the upcoming update of Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S, I'm going to remake the gui.
Also, I will add some new cool features. Screenshots of the new gui will be uploaded as soon as possible.

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.5 is released!

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.5 is available to download.
Whats new?:

• Added new commands.("create new folder", "delete/delete this", "clear the chat"). 
• Added auto login option.
• Email integration. You can connect to your email(gmail or hotmail) and view the last 20 messages. Commands for email connection("check my mails"/"show my latest emails"/"show my mails").To sign in say "sign in" and to sign out say "sign out". You have the choice to connect to your default email or to any other you want.
• Fixed bug with 'my notes'.
• Removed maximize command.

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.5 release date.

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.5 will be released in this Saturday(7/20/2014).
The update bug fix will included in this version with some new features.(autologin and some new commands too).

If you say check for updates(and you have v1.4), Jarvis will say that a new version has found.

We will fix this as soon as possible.

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.4 is here!

Our latest Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S is available to download. 
Whats new:

• Added new window named 'My notes'. As you can imagine you can write any notes you want there. To open it just say 'open my note'/'i want to write a note' and to close it 'close my notes'.

• Changed command 'Minimize'. Say it and Jarvis will be a gadget in the top right of your desktop.~To call him back just say 'come back'.

• Added new command 'close'/'close window. Jarvis will close the window you focus.

• Added 'run Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S at windows start up'.You can check/uncheck this option in settings.

• Added 'disable ip label'. You can check/uncheck this option in settings.

As always fixed some small bugs(with command manager etc).

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.4 coming soon.

Troubleshooting

Requirements:

• You must have windows 7/8 and may work on vista too. Please note that windows must be in English in order to make speech recognition work(thats because windows speech recognition in other language is not supported, except from a few i think).
• You need a microphone ofcourse(HEADSET IS THE BEST).

If you think that voice recognition is not working: 

1. Open Speech Recognition by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking Speech Recognition.
2. Click Set up microphone.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Also:

1. Open again Speech Recognition(as before).
2. Somewhere in the left top there's a link says "advanced speech options".
3. Make sure you are using speech recognition in English-US(if you already have it in English-US and its not working change it in English-UK).
   
   ~Finally, for better speech results you can do the training in speech recognition window.

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.3 is released!

Hello friends, we have just released our biggest update so far. To download it go here. Let's see whats new:

• Fixed lag when enabling ram diagnostics.

• Added "check for updates" command. Just say it and if Jarvis find a newer version he will ask you if you want to open the website to download it(from here).Also you can enable if you want jarvis check for updates automatically after you login(there's a checkbox in settings).

• Fixed the application size.For some reason in our previous update the application size was about 100+mb.After a clean rebuild of the app, the application size is only 3MB! If you have any problem with the installation, run the setup as administrator or disable your antivirus,

• Added new form(called Command Manager!)Yes, you can create your own commands(not social though),that means you can create a command, Jarvis response and location(of what you want to open,big thanks to Michael Wilson for the tutorial). To open Command Manager you have to drag Settings button to a panel(Just drag it and the panel will appear).

• Added new command "enter"/"press enter". Say it and Jarvis will 'press' enter key.

~Do not leave empty lines in command manager.
~In the command manager after you press add button, say "update commands"(changes will take effect).

Auto check for updates coming soon!

In the upcoming version Jarvis will be able to check for updates.If he find a new version,he will ask you to open the website or not.

~He wont auto download the updates though.

Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S v1.2(MARK 1) is available to download

This is a hotfix for our previous update of D.A Jarvis(called MARK 1).Download it.

In this small hotfix we decided to fix some previous bugs and change some things:

• We made the settings window smaller.
• We added another 2 buttons(my computer,documents) next to microphone mute button.(to make the UI more good looking.
• We moved the time in middle top.
• We fixed the font position and size.
• We rename the log out command to exit from windows(J.A.R.V.I.S understands it better) and removed the "i want to ping something"/"execute ping"/"start pinging" commands.
• We changed program's name to Digital Assistant J.A.R.V.I.S 
• Finally we added a new command: "who are you". Say it and J.A.R.V.I.S will tell you some info about him.

Digital Assistant Jarvis v1.2 is released!

Digital Assistant Jarvis version 1.2 is available for download. In this update I focused to make an alarm and add some small commands. In conclusion,

• I added an alarm clock.
• Fixed some bugs with Jarvis.
• You can shutdown/restart/log off(Just give the order and Jarvis will do it for you!).
• Added Jarvis User Interface browser.
• Added the time of the system in down right.

What i expect to add in next versions of Jarvis: 

• Jarvis will detect for internet connectivity.(And if you haven't,the program will programmatically suit better for no internet users).
• Auto check and download updates(This will take far).

~Program name still appears as Jarvis AI(this is going to be fixed in the next update).

~Jarvis user interface is using a specific font. Although,after testing the application to some pc, the font is not applied.(this is going to be fixed in the next update/or i will change the font to something more usual like arial).

Some news about the upcoming version of D.A jarvis.

In the upcoming version of D.A jarvis (v1.2) Ill add the following things:

• You could be able to set an alarm clock.
• Jarvis will have different answers each time.
• Ofcourse some bug fixes.
• When you say open facebook or you doing a wiki search, jarvis will ask you if you want to open it your browser or create one(that means a browser window will be created in the jarvis UI).

Thats what i expect to add in the next update.Stay tuned for more news.

Renaming Jarvis.

Jarvis AI will renamed to D.A(Digital Assistant) Jarvis.

JARVIS AI v1.1.2.0 is released!

Jarvis AI v1.1(1.1.2.0) is available to download.

Here is the new features:

• Account creation now is optimized.
• Settings window is available(you can change your password,woeid etc).
• New User Interface.
• Added a combobox that you can change and automaticaly save your current tts voice.
• Added fullscreen mode(to make jarvis fullscreen just say "fullscreen").
• Added mute button(Jarvis will not be able to hear you).
• Added 'empty recycle bin' command.

Also this version comes with some bug fixes,such as:

• Account creation will no more crashing.
• Some bugs to commands have been fixed.
• Jarvis will no more crashing when you enable ram/cpu diagnostics.

Things might add:

• Automatic check and download updates.

In the next update(v1.1), I'm going to change the user interface because the previous one was sketchy. Settings button will be enabled and some new commands will come up.I will post some pictures with the new UI tomorrow.

JARVIS AI alpha coming soon

JARVIS AI alpha(v0.1) will be out for testing in the next week.  I want to emphasize that Alpha is the first testing stage of software. The program just became usable and needs LOTS of testing.
